Lemme tell you about our hometown, Jacksonville, FL. Believe me, it’s more than meets the eye! Jax has the largest urban park system in the country, one of our fav things to do is check out parks on the weekend. Some of our favorite places to hang:@timucuannps offers countless miles of trails and preserves over 6k years of human history!@jacksonvillezoo You’ll often find us traipsing around the zoo. The kids favorite spots are Stingray Bay where they can get up close and personal with the gentle creatures and the splash pad. Each visit we also say hello to Banks (a baby jaguar) and Kevin (our favorite gorilla lad). @moshjax is an incredible museum that covers Florida history, the human body, and much more. It also houses one of the largest single-lens planetariums in the country. Huguenot Beach- on warm days you can find us at Huguenot with our Jeep. It’s one of the few beaches in the region that you can drive on. Jacksonville Southbank Riverwalk- following the St. Johns River, you’ll be able enjoy over a mile of colorful concrete boardwalk. As we countdown to this week's newest blog post, we're sharing some of the UNESCO Heritage Sites we've visited. Today's site was our kiddo's favorite UNESCO Site (although Old San Juan was a close second) Mammoth Cave. 🦇 With over 400 miles of underground pathways, Mammoth Cave is the world’s longest-known cave system.🦇Located in central Kentucky, this cave system has captivated visitors for centuries.🦇The cave offers visitors a variety of tours, each one offering a unique perspective into the cave’s incredible limestone formations, underground rivers, and diverse cave-dwelling wildlife. Today's post takes us to another site in the Caribbean- Old San Juan. ☀️Old San Juan is home to some of the most stunning and historically significant sites in the Caribbean. 👵The fortifications in San Juan are the oldest European structures in the New World.🏝️ Not only is this a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it is also part of the US National Park System.💭 Have you been to any of the National Park Sites outside of the continental US?
