Welcome Instagrammers! We’re so glad you stopped by! 5 Suitcases is a family travel blog that highlights our adventures as a family of 5. Our blog centers around our travels throughout Florida, the southeastern US, and beyond! 2023 is going to be a huge travel year for us! So far we’ve already visited North Carolina, Blue Spring State Park, and SeaWorld Orlando.
Later this year, we’ll be visiting Tennessee, Kentucky, Iceland, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.

In 2023 we launched a Podcast! As travel bloggers, sometimes our personal stories don’t translate well with SEO. We decided to launch a podcast so that we could share our personal stories (the good and the bad!) along with information that you would find here on the blog.

We've Been Exploring the East Coast
Road Trips are one of our favorite ways to travel… mostly because we’re able to bring along our dogs (LB and Parker). This year we’ll be visiting Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and DC! One of our goals this year is to visit at least 10 National Park Sites, so look for loads of content on our nation’s parks. We also have 3 theme parks on our itineraries (Universal Studios Orlando, Disney World, and Hershey Park).
We Explored the Caribbean
One of the best things about living in Florida is our proximity to the Caribbean! We’ve been introducing the kiddos to destinations near the Sunshine State. So far they’ve visited the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, the US Virgin Islands, and Turks & Caicos. Next, they’ll be adding The Bahamas to their list of countries they’ve been.
We've Become Local Ambassadors for Visit Jax
We love our hometown Jacksonville, Florida and we want everyone to know it! We’ve teamed up with Visit Jax to share all of the incredible things that our city has to offer. Jacksonville is home to the largest urban park system in the United States, several important historical sites, great museums, and miles and miles of beaches. Our goal is to share all of the best that Jacksonville has to offer!
